- Created to satisfy the most demanding needs in terms of flexibility, the SL4 is the Salvagnini solution that combines 4 different functions in a single compact structure: * the S4Xe punching system, * the laser cutting with an optic fibre power source, * the complete automation typical of Salvagnini systems, * the proprietary programming software
- The combination of the punching machine with the laser makes it possible to maintain all the advantages of the multi-press head while allowing the user to create extremely articulated profiles. The Salvagnini SL4 combi punch-laser maintains all the advantages of the S4Xe punch-shear system:/li>
- Within the patented multi-press head, every tool is controlled by an individual press to permit independent and multiple operations without any need to stop for tool changes.
- The patented manipulator moves on guides constrained to the lower part of the "C" structure, providing extremely high positioning accuracy.
- The flexibility and speed of the fiber optic laser cutting technology eliminates all constraints associated with geometry, scrap and also reduces operating and maintenance costs. The SL4 uses a fiber laser with a 2000 W source which makes it possible to achieve high linear cutting speeds as well as absolute precision when making irregular contours.
- This technology offers a number of exceedingly important advantages including the elimination of optical path and laser gas, the creation of a more simple and and the possibility to work a wider range of materials, thanks to the wavelength typical of fiber, which means that highly reflective material.
- The SL4 was conceived to meet the increasing market demand for small batch production runs of parts with a high aesthetic value, whilst maintaining low production times and costs.
- Running costs have been reduced considerably. The consumption of the entire SL4 system is extremely low, the average power consumption is 35 kW during the cycle, thanks to the reduced consumption of the fibre source and to the technological innovations specific to the S4Xe.
- Production costs benefit from the optimization management of the material: no scrap "dead zone" and the virtual absence of sheet trimming, waste is practically eliminated.
- Machine maintenance has actually been eliminated on the laser, thanks to the fibre source which does not require periodical maintenance.
